Wilders Wrap Up

Whitney and I had an excellent evening last night, checking out the Wilders at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA! They put on a great show, as was expected and we had some time to chat with Ike and Beste after the show about the upcoming wedding festivities of Scott and Julie! :) Sounds like they will be in attendance for the wedding and the reception, so we will be rocking out to some Bluegrass music all day long! :)

The other band that played was the Red Stick Ramblers. They were also really really good. They played Cajun-style music, so a lot of it was sung in French. They were so good, I had to buy a CD on my way out. Great great!

I didn't take any photos, but it was an excellent evening. I hope they both make their way back to Sellersville or other points nearby soon.

The Wilders

Lucky for me...Chuck is much more attentive to certain parts of the newspaper than I am! Tonight, as he is reading the paper he says, "The Wilders are going to be in Philly?" And I say, "WHAT?!?! When?!" Turns out, they are playing a small theater venue in a city called Sellersville, which is about a 45 min to an hour drive from here. For those of you unfamiliar with the Wilders, please click HERE to find out more! For those of you who do know of them, you know how much they ROCK! :) After a lot of pleading, and the recruitment of my friend Whitney to go along, looks like Chuck and I will be attending the show. In an additional twist, the Wilders are going to be performing at my sister's wedding in September...so that's also pretty cool! Can't wait to see them...I'll post some photos if I can take pics!

YEE-HAW! :)

Really Pathetic

I have been a pretty busy young lady! The semester has begun...my classes have met once so far...second meeting is today. So far, they seem to be pretty great. The students seem interested and involved, the classes should really come along nicely, I hope! I have some challenges ahead of me...like the 25 page research paper for Dr. Gold's class, but I am thinking positive and feeling good about all of it!

Chuck and I were down at the beach over this past weekend so that he and Reuter and Barry could do the Polar Bear Plunge! I will post photos as soon as I download them :) Fortunately for them, the real cold (and snow) held off until yesterday, so it was actually in the 50s over the weekend when they did this. Although the ocean temp was only in the high 40s. They dove in and actually rode a few waves before coming back to the beach. Chuck was bright red from head to toe when he got out! Crazy! I stood on the beach with Reuter's girlfriend and laughed at them, while taking a video, of course! You can actually see footage from it on the Cape May County Herald Newspaper site.

Crazy boys!
