That's a Mighty Big Lens You Have There...

I borrowed a friend's 300mm lens and we went out this morning to take photos of some birds and stuff. Once I figured out that I had screwed up the settings on my camera, I managed to get a few okay shots for my first ever ornithological photo outing.

Not too shabby.  Already looking forward to our next outing!
