Barnes Foundation Photos

Now, you can't take pictures inside the Barnes - it's a lot like entering the club house of a secret society in there - but we could take them out on the BEAUTIFUL grounds around the museum. So, here are my pics of me with my students, and some of the grounds.

The collection is incredible. Walls simply plastered with paintings ranging in size from 8 foot wide works by Seurat and Cezanne, to tiny 3x5 sized Daumier paintings. Not to mention the metal hinges, locks, door knockers, and key holes that dot the walls wherever there is space. It really was wonderful to see it before it moves into the city (whenever that will be). I would highly recommend getting out your planner, checking out a weekend several months away, and booking a visit. It's WELL worth it!
