Last year, despite loads of protests from individuals, businesses, and others, the DRPA raised tolls on all local bridges. They claimed that they needed to do this in order to ensure the stability and upkeep of the bridges and the safety of those traveling upon them. They PROMISED at that time that ALL funds raised with the new toll hikes would be spent on the bridges. This promise was made due to the fact that the reason the DRPA had no money for bridge maintenance was because they spent millions (or perhaps billions) purchasing land, paying for museums and sports arenas to be built, and basically ignoring the whole purpose of tolls = UPKEEP OF THE TOLLED ROAD!

Good job, DRPA...spend our toll money on something else not related to bridge upkeep - can't wait for the next toll hike that you promised was going to come sometime this year or early next. JERKS.
