Good Idea...but not really!

So, I was driving into the city today and an interested advertisement came on the radio. It was talking about a new function that is appearing on some of the latest GPS units for cars. In particular, this function is supposed to help you find the cheapest gasoline in the area. It's updated every 4 hours, so it's a constant tool to finding cheap gasoline.

Great idea, right?

Here's the kicker. You have to PAY for it!

It costs $15 (I assume per year) for you to have this. Now, obviously if you're finding gas that's quite a bit cheaper, you will recoup that $15 pretty quickly. However, it does seem a bit odd, doesn't it? In order to save money with your $200 Tom Tom, you have to spend a yearly fee? hmmmmm.....
